Muncie Visitors Bureau

The Muncie Visitors Bureau is the official DMO (Destination Marketing Organization) for Muncie and Delaware County. As such, the hard working staff is continuously looking to bring visitors to our community through a myriad of ways.

The recent addition of the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown with the convenience of its connection to the Horizon Convention Center has created new interest and a renewed energy among business travelers. More and more meeting planners are scheduling conference and convention activities there adding to the excitement of the downtown Muncie revitalization.

Equally as important to our local economy are the leisure travelers that have made Muncie/Delaware County a destination. Ball State University plays a significant role in attracting visitors, family and friends to campus. But we also see our many wonderful attractions bringing thousands of curious people to our community. Minnetrista, the Academy of Model Aeronautics, Cardinal Greenway, Civic Theater and the Muncie Sportsplex are just a few of the venues that make Muncie/Delaware County a great place to visit.

The Muncie Visitors Bureau is funded strictly by an Innkeeper’s Tax for people staying overnight in our local hotel properties. It might surprise some to know that more than $12 million dollars was spent in 2015 for lodging in Delaware County.

There’s lots to see and do in Muncie/Delaware County! We invite you to explore the community and learn more about things you probably didn’t know existed … right here in your own backyard.
